1. The "PAUSE" rule.
If you hear anyone shout "PAUSE," immediately stop what you are doing. Pauses are called for medical emergencies or general safety checks. During a pause, game is suspended. When you hear "3...2...1...Lay on," game play has resumed and you should get back into character. Anyone can call a pause. The person who calls a pause should also be the person to give the lay on command. Before giving the lay on command, he or she should check safety by asking “Is there any reason for this pause to continue?” Please respect all pauses that are called no matter what the circumstances are. 2. Body Contact rule There is no body contact allowed on site. This is especially true during combat situations. You may only touch someone when you have their permission. If anyone disobeys this rule, he or she will be given one warning. If the individual further disobeys this rule, he or she will be ejected from game without a refund or compensation for services provided. Remember to respect other people. If you want to roleplay with some physical contact, you must ask anyone involved "Do you accept physical roleplay?" If they say "yes" then you may touch them. If they say "No," do not touch them or you will be warned. Any body contact that is sexual in nature is unacceptable; physical flirting is prohibited. Please keep your hands to yourself. If you are in a relationship with some one, it is expected that you will behave in an appropriate adult manner. This is an adult game with some sexual references, but there is a fine line. If someone’s behavior during a roleplay situation or out of game conversations makes you uncomfortable, tell them so that future incidents can be avoided Also please report the incident to a marshal. Understand that this rule is not intended to ban hugging, kissing, or cuddling. If you have questions regarding this rule, please speak with either Brandy Smith or Dustin Springer. 3. No alcohol or drug rule We absolutely forbid the use of alcohol and / or illegal drugs. If you are found to be under the influence during a game event or workday, you will be ejected from the game, without a refund. When you use any substance like alcohol or drugs, it alters your perception and may change your attitude. This could lead to potentially dangerous situations for you and for other people. Also, there are plenty of over the counter drugs that can affect how you play. If they effect you in a way that could be potentially hazardous to other people or cause you to be in danger while you are on game site, please refrain from taking them during an event. This rule is for your safety and the safety of others. Please respect it while on site. 4. Personal Possessions and stealing If you have the pick pocket skill, you must use the paper clips that are required. Do not attempt to collect the item yourself; please get a marshal. If you are attempting to go into an area (such as another person's tent) with the intention of taking some in-game items, please get a marshal before attempting anything. The game and it's staff are not responsible for stolen items. If you have something of worth, please leave it at home. If you steal an item from a guild or tavern, please check with a marshal to be certain that it is not someone's personal property. In-game possessions may be stolen. Props and physical representations must be returned to their original owners unless the tag states differently. An item’s tag can be kept. If you steal someone's personal property, you will not receive any warnings and you will be ejected from the game immediately, without a refund. Out of game bags and items should be properly labeled. 5. Spirit of the rules, not letter of the law. This rulebook is a compilation of several different minds. It is kept as up to date as possible, while allowing people to have a rulebook to read online. The book is not perfect in any way, therefore, errata will be made and if a rule is in question, please see a marshal. These rules are in place in order for all people participating to have a fun and enjoyable time. Using a rule in a way it was not meant to be used is cheating. Therefore, exploiting said rule without reporting it to a marshal is also considered cheating. There will be free errata for this book available on the legends website: www.goldslarp.com. The game is a team effort made by all those who participate. Please help us make this game great. 6. Personal Safety: If you are hurt or cut report to logistics IMMEDIATELY, especially if there is blood involved. All blood is to be treated like a biohazard. DO NOT TOUCH SOMEONE THAT IS BLEEDING, Please notify so we can get them help. If you have a special health condition (such as diabetes or other conditions) that require regular checking of the blood via needles please handle that off site since I do not have a way to handle biohazardous materials. THANK YOU 7. Smoking: Please do not smoke in game, there is a designated area near monster camp that is permitted for smoking. Also to keep the site clean, please put all cigarette butts in the bucket that is available. If this rule is repeatedly ignored we will not allow smoking on site. |
